The Partnership
Leadership
Leadership is provided today by UVCW, in partnership with AVCB and CERDD.
Structure of the partnership
The main interest of the project is to bring together three types of players to address the problems being encountered by municipalities.
Each level of the partnership corresponds to a transnational Working Group (WG) with its own perspective and purpose.
An enlarged working group is also desirable to provide a framework for interaction between the different levels of partners.
Roles and status of stakeholders
The municipalities must play a central role through transposition.
The precise role of the different parties will be defined collectively in the context of development of the partnership.
The current partnership is the following:
- Lead partner: Union of Towns and Municipalities of Wallonia (UVCW).
- Local authorities: Breda (NL), Communauté urbaine du Douaisis (F), Hastings (UK), Jette (B), Liège (B), Lille (F), Mouscron (B) et Visé (B).
- Experts: Association de la Ville et des Communes de Bruxelles-Capitale (B), Cellule Verte (B), Centre Ressource du développement durable (F), Citymix (NL), La Calade (F) et Tr@me (B).
Three other types of actors - not considered to be partners (within the meaning of the Interreg programme) – will also be involved in the project:
- The passive observer which is a party to the project and is interested in its results without contributing to it
- The dissemination organization which spreads the progress report and the project achievements
- The external expert which contributes his experience and know-how and provides services for which he is paid
